Ever miss sitting in a lecture hall, without the stress of an exam afterwards? The Faculty of Social Sciences is organising a symposium day to give teachers the opportunity to practise delivering a lecture. Teaching lectures isn't normally part of their role, but it is a requirement for their BKO. You can support them simply by showing up and listening!
You can attend up to four 45-minute lectures on a range of topics and, if you'd like, fill in a short evaluation form afterwards to give the lecturer some useful feedback. No preparation needed, no obligations.
Schedule
- Morning: 09:15 – 12:00 (two lectures)
- Afternoon: 12:45 – 16:00 (two lectures)
Each lecture is 45 minutes, so you can work in between or leave after a session. It’s entirely up to you.
Location
- English-language lectures (Political Sciences): Agora, room 1A15
- Nederlandstalige hoorcolleges (Pedagogische Wetenschappen): Agora, room 1A11
Give us a heads-up!
Thinking of joining? Please drop Anthea Aerts a quick messeage (a.h.g.aerts@llinc.leidenuniv.nl - also if you have any questions): it helps the lecturers get a rough idea of their audience. But feel free to just walk in on the day too!
