Stéphanie Noach, PhD within LUCAS, received a Fulbright grant to conduct research for her PhD project 'Dark Matters. Recasting Darkness with Contemporary Latin American Art' at the Afro-Latin American Research Institute at Harvard University.

Kutsal Yesilkagit, Professor of International Governance at the Institute of Public Administration, has been appointed by Minister Bruins Slot of the Interior and Kingdom Relations as a member of the State Commission on the Rule of Law, which was established in November 2022.

Since 1 January Leiden has a new graduate school. The Netherlands Institute for Cultural Analysis (NICA), previously based at the University of Amsterdam, has moved to the Centre for the Arts in Society (LUCAS).
