The SSH labs provide research space for scientists from the Social and Behavioural Sciences and Humanities faculties of Leiden University. You can find the SSH labs in the Pieter de la Court building, the Sylvius building, the Lipsius building and the P.J. Veth building.

Visitors, guest staff and contractors can park at the university’s parking locations. Different rules and rates often apply.

All persons making use of Leiden University buildings and grounds must comply with the general University house rules. These are listed in the Regulations on the Use of University Buildings, Grounds and Other Facilities, and are intended to guarantee order and safety for guests and staff alike.

During an evacuation, all employees and students gather at the front or backside of the Pieter de la Court Building.

The University aims to be bilingual, and provides its information in Dutch and English wherever possible. This has consequences for the information provided on the University websites.

The Pieter de la Court Building has now a new library, on the ground floor, in wing B. The building project was scheduled from December 2018 to December 2019. Now that the library has been completed, new teaching rooms will be built to replace those on the 5th floor.
