As a student mentor, you are involved in the mentoring programme on behalf of your study programme. You will receive information about your role as a student mentor from a dedicated mentoring coordinator from your study programme or faculty.

One of the focal points of the teaching strategy at Leiden University is ensuring student success. Various initiatives have therefore been taken in this light ranging from the Leiden Study System to CROHO and from the Teachers’ Academy to teaching innovation.

We often look at the behaviour of students and label them motivated or not based on that. But what motivates students? We can respond to their needs better by listening to them. Then we can see what the cause of their behavior is. Anja Schoots argues this in her dissertation.
