Encourage students to join the Winter Weeks programme: spending the holidays together
The Student Well-Being Week at the end of November focused on supporting students’ mental and physical health. Even after this week, it remains important that students feel seen and supported—especially during the holiday season, when feelings of loneliness can increase, particularly among international students.
That’s why we encourage you to point your students to the Winter Weeks programme.
From 9 December to 2 January, students in Leiden and The Hague can take part free of charge in a wide range of activities designed to help them meet others and enjoy time together.
Highlights include:
- creative workshops
- sports activities such as ice skating and bouldering
- game nights, brunches and film evenings
- and of course, the famous oliebollen walk!
In collaboration with student associations
The Winter Weeks are organised in collaboration with student associations. Thanks to these partners, students can count on a warm welcome, a friendly atmosphere and new connections, ensuring that no one has to spend the holidays alone.
Invite your students to explore the programme and join in. It may truly make a difference for them!
