If you cycle to work, you can use the University’s bicycle racks or lockable bicycle sheds; to use a lockable shed, however, you need a bicycle pass. At some locations you can also borrow a staff bicycle.

The SSH labs provide research space for scientists from the Social and Behavioural Sciences and Humanities faculties of Leiden University. You can find the SSH labs in the Pieter de la Court building, the Sylvius building, the Lipsius building and the P.J. Veth building.

The University Real Estate Directorate is responsible for managing and maintaining University buildings. If you wish to report a failure in a building or equipment, please contact your service desk.

Leiden University has a Security Measures Steering Committee. Each security measure comprises different elements and therefore requires a multidimensional approach; for example, additional camera surveillance or installing card readers.

The University buildings have their own evacuation assembly point. Make sure you know where to find the assembly point of the building you are currently in.
