Pre-award

Vidatum will provide support during the pre-award phase of grant applications.

When support for the pre-award stage is added to Vidatum, it will be easy for project information to be recorded during all stages of the research project.

The pre-award stage is the period before a research project begins. It covers everything necessary to acquire funding, such as submitting grant applications and obtaining approval for executing the project.

Using Vidatum in the pre-award stage will make it easy to record all project information right from the start. Having all the information clearly available means that more energy can be devoted to the grant application itself. This increases the chances of attracting grants and funding. Additionally, the information collected in the pre-award stage can be used later in the post-award stage.

Support provided by Vidatum during the pre-award stage has several advantages:

  • Project information can be recorded easily from the beginning to the end of the project.
  • It will be easier to track how many grant applications and bids have been submitted, and how successful they are in acquiring projects.

At present, using Vidatum in the pre-award stage is optional. Set-up of Vidatum in the pre-award stage is scheduled for the second half of 2025.

Several institutes are interested in using Vidatum in the pre-award stage. We are working with these institutes to identify their specific needs, so that Vidatum can be tailored accordingly
