Request for Approval
The Request for Approval (RfA) process is used for approval and finalisation of contracts. The designated officers (in all cases, financial and legal) give their approval, and the contracts are then signed by the responsible organisational unit (faculty, institute or Executive Board).
We will be moving to Vidatum for the Request for Approval (RfA) process. This will make the approval and signing of contracts simpler and more transparent for everyone who works in this area
Using Vidatum for the approval and signing of contracts has several advantages:
- You can easily track the status of approval and signing.
- It is easy to see what has been approved or signed, and who has done this.
- ontracts can be found quickly.
- All contracts are clearly stored in one central place.
The new Request for Approval (RfA) process is relevant for everyone involved in approving and signing contracts, such as:
- Principal investigators and research support professionals who submit contracts.
- Institute managers who give financial approval.
- Luris staff who make the legal assessment.
A working group with representatives from the various faculties and Luris looked at the best way for Vidatum to support the current process. The first step is to start with the RfA process in Vidatum for externally funded research projects. We are additionally exploring whether Vidatum can also support other types of contracts, which are not linked to externally funded research projects.
