Target group
This workshop series is open to teachers and educational professionals from all contexts and levels and requires no prior experience with the topic.

This specialised workshop series equips participants for navigating difficult or uncomfortable moments in a classroom or training space setting. It touches upon various hot moments, from conversations on potentially sensitive or charged topics, to challenging interactions or exchanges, and provides practical tools and recommendations for navigating such situations effectively.

Sessions

In session 1, we will use a combination of interactive exercises and reflective discussions to explore the complexities of diversity in our educational spaces, the relevance and importance of an inclusive approach, and cover the concept of safe spaces. Both teachers and learners should feel secure to confront subjects or issues that may make them uncomfortable, and this session aims to promote awareness and develop concrete strategies for creating and maintaining such spaces.

Session 2 offers a practical opportunity to understand how to manage challenging classroom or training moments while considering the positionality of yourself and others in these critical situations. Through detailed case analyses and interactive problem-solving in a supportive group setting, participants will be able to practice with and develop effective and targeted strategies.
