Abstract

When does concern for climate translate into action—or not? Despite its increasingly visible impacts, in recent years, in several countries the sense of urgency regarding climate change has decreased among the public. Drawing on recent survey data, this seminar discusses the changing prospects for climate action in Japan and the Netherlands and when knowledge does—or does not—translate into a sense of civic responsibility.
