Join the Crafting Resilience Kick Off on 30 March 2023

15 March 2023

The Crafting Resilience Kick Off on 30 March seeks to inspire conversations around new state-citizen relations in the social domain. At this conference, international researchers discuss core questions at the heart of the new NWA Crafting Resilience project: How do welfare and social work reproduce normative ideas? How can we work within such structures to achieve radical change?

Speakers

The keynote and discussions bring together experts in the field, including: Sarah Bracke (Professor of Sociology of Gender and Sexuality UvA), Davina Cooper (Research Professor of Law and Political Theory, King’s College London), Vanessa Barker (Professor of Sociology at Stockholm University), Rudi Roose (Professor of Social Work, Ghent University), Nicolas Duvoux (Professor of Sociology, Paris 8 University), Mette-Louise Johansen (VIVE, The Danish Center for Social Science Research), Shivant Jhagroe (Assistant Professor of Public Administration, Leiden University), Judi Mesman (Professor of the interdisciplinary study of societal changes, Leiden University), and Mariël van Pelt (Lector Social Resilience Fontys/senior advisor, Movisie).
