Interdisciplinarity has an ever-growing importance in archaeological research. Thus, on 12 July 2023 at the University of Groningen, ARCHON is organizing a workshop introducing students to the cross-disciplinary research agendas relevant to archaeology and historical ecology, especially in aquatic environments.

This workshop will feature talks from renowned international researchers specialized in various fields related to research in historical ecology. One of those researchers is our own Dr. Laura Llorente Rodriguez. Her talk, Fish food for thought: Lessons from a pilot project combining ichthyoarchaeological and biomolecular research, will take place in a session discussing the biomolecular tools for historical ecology.

More information about the programme and registration is available on the ARCHON website.
