Be The Change (Open Science/Open Research)

This interactive workshop introduces PhD candidates to the basics of Open Science/Open Research. PhD candidates will learn about the Open Science movement, and how they can integrate open research practices into their own projects. The workshop will also showcase how Open Science/Open Research is being rolled out at Leiden University, and how they can get involved in university activities. No prior knowledge on Open Science/Open Research is needed to participate in this workshop, and participants from all disciplines and PhD stages are welcome.

Why this course?

Open Science is everywhere! What does it mean for you and how can you, as PhD candidate, contribute? During this interactive session we will discuss how Leiden is opening up research and education. We will discuss experiences, possibilities and facilities available at Leiden University and envision small steps towards creating a positive working environment together.

  • How to get started as an Open researcher

As we wrap up our training session, we'd love to invite you to join us for a casual drink from 16:00 - 17:00 to unwind and reflect on the day's learnings. This will be a great opportunity to connect with fellow participants and share insights in a relaxed setting.
