Politics and Policy Pre-Analysis Plan (PAP2) Workshop
- Tuesday 17 January 2023
2511 DP The Hague
An increasing number of scholars at Leiden are using experimental methods to study topics in politics and policy. One challenge of experimental methods is that a considerable amount of work must be done before data is collected and there are few opportunities to fix errors or shortcomings once an experiment is in the field. Further, there are few opportunities to get feedback when it is most important as most conference outlets frown upon the presentations of research designs.
To help remedy this problem, we are organising our fourth meeting where researchers get the opportunity to present and get feedback on their research designs before they are fielded. At each workshop, we’ll discuss the pre-analysis plans of four different scholars (30 minutes each). The workshop committee will solicit participation from researchers across Leiden faculties and give priority to junior scholars.
If you would like to present, please send an abstract to firstname.lastname@example.org by 13 January 2023. We will share the programme on Monday 16th.
We particularly encourage colleagues working with experimental methods to attend this event, to help researchers get feedback on their experimental designs before they are fielded.
