Course evaluation

Course evaluations are conducted according to a fixed procedure. Read the step-by-step explanation.

Step 1

Prior to the new academic year, the OSC opens the scheduled courses in Time Edit. Open the Time Edit Dashboard. Under “Submit Evaluation Request”, select the course for which evaluations must be requested.

The updated version of the evaluation process is implemented at the start of the 2025-2026 academic year. In consultation with the programme committees, it has been agreed within the VCO that courses will henceforth be evaluated on the basis of a number of fixed questions. Additional questions may only be added in the event of substantial changes to the course design or organisation. To this end, TE offers the possibility of obtaining approval via the Director of Education.

Step 2

Once the type of evaluation required has been specified, the OSC checks the data in TE. The process is then forwarded to LLinC, which produces the forms and sends them to the OSC (no later than one week before the evaluation date). If a lecturer does not respond to the OSC's request for information in a timely manner, the OSC cannot guarantee that the evaluation forms will be delivered on time.

Step 3

The coordinator will receive an email notification when the evaluations are ready at the OSC. All evaluations can be collected from the lecturers' desk, opposite room OA28. With the exception of the evaluations for Bachelor IRO Political Science and MA Political Science International Organisation. These are available in The Hague.

Step 4

The lecturer (or the invigilator present) collects all completed evaluation forms and ensures that all evaluation forms are submitted to the OSC at the same time. The OSC sends the forms to the LLinC for processing.

Step 5

LLInC analyses the forms and sends the evaluation report to the OSC and the coordinator. The OSC forwards the report to the secretary of the programme committee of the programme in question.

Step 6

Finally, LLInC returns the original evaluation forms to the OSC.
