Eduard Maurits Meijers was, and still is, of inestimable value for law and justice in the Netherlands and for our faculty. The 70th anniversary of Meijers’ death is on 25 June 2024. To mark this occasion, the faculty is organising a symposium* in the Academy Building on Monday 24 June, the day before the date of his death. Distinguished guests from the Netherlands and abroad will speak about Meijers’ life and legacy.

This event is being organised by Vanessa Mak, Matthias Haentjens, Bastiaan Rijpkema and Tim Lubbers. The programme and registration form will be published at the end of April.

The symposium is from 14.00 to 17.00, with a reception afterwards.
