Martine van Trigt joins Meijers as funding advisor
Acquiring external funding for research is becoming increasingly important. Proper support for applying for research grants is essential in this process. As of December, the team of the Meijers Research Institute, responsible for the organisation and quality assurance of research at our faculty, will be joined by a funding advisor, Martine van Trigt. She will support researchers in their applications for research grants.
Martine van Trigt recently worked at the T.M.C. Asser Institute, at the institute for international and European law, and before then at the faculty of law of the University of Amsterdam. Her expertise comprises providing advice on (international) grant applications, writing and editing research proposals in the area of (international) law, and securing external funding. She is also experienced in the project management of externally funded projects. Here at Leiden Law School, she will provide advice to researchers and support them in preparing and submitting (successful!) grant applications.
Data steward Mareike Boom had already joined the Meijers earlier this year. As the contact person for researchers in relation to data management, she advises them at all stages of their research project: from the data management section of a project proposal, to the cost for data management, the project completion and archiving of data.
The arrival of a funding advisor and data steward, both ‘in-house’, are in line with the faculty’s ambition to pursue more externally funded research (second and third flow of funds).
Martine can be contacted on workdays via researchsupport@law.leidenuniv.nl.
