Apartments are available in Leiden and The Hague for PhD candidates at Leiden University who are looking for accommodation. These are furnished and unfurnished, and can be rented for a period of one month to a maximum of one year.
The rent varies from 615 to 1100 euros per month. For 1100 euros you can rent, for instance, a studio in the University Lodge next to the Hortus botanicus. In 2015, 168 new unfurnished appartments became available in the former Anatomy Building on Wassenaarseweg. These can be rented through Short Stay Accommodation. Semester contracts also regularly become available at student locations.
Long-term stay
If you have worked/will be working at the University for more than a year and are looking for accommodation, this can be arranged through Stichting Boerhaave. There is likely to be a waiting list, so we advise you to register as soon as possible.
