New Procedure for Erasmus+ Internships Faculty of Archaeology

23 April 2026

In March 2026, the Faculty Board of Archaeology has approved a new, uniform procedure for hosting Erasmus+ interns. Until now, the Faculty had no consistent workflow for admitting or supervising Erasmus+ trainees, leading to unclear responsibilities, incomplete registration, and limited oversight.

To address these issues, it has now been decided that Erasmus+ interns may be accepted when a staff member is willing and able to supervise them, in agreement with their Departmental Chair (DV). Do you want to appoint an Erasmus+ intern? Please contact HR or the Exchange adviser for the full workflow.

The new workflow will improve safety, provide insight into staff workload, and ensure that all incoming Erasmus+ interns are properly recorded. It also supports the added value that international interns bring to our Faculty, including fresh perspectives, new skills, and opportunities for innovation.
