Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has shattered peace in Europe and is causing severe human suffering. So is the war in Gaza. But history has shown that in times like these, the EU has proved its worth. For Sweden, solidarity within the EU is key. And Sweden’s NATO membership on 7 March will be a cornerstone of Sweden’s foreign and security policy. In this talk, Louise Bonbeck reflects on the evolution of Sweden’s security policy, ongoing discussions about the changing security architecture in Europe, and the ways in which Sweden is trying to shape the future of this cooperation.
