The LUCAS “Role of Experience in Arts of Criticism, Rhetoric, and Aesthetics” cross-cluster research theme aims to foster our research explorations into the role of affect, animation, experience, materiality, and embodied cognition in the arts of criticism, rhetoric, and aesthetics we study across LUCAS, broadly conceived.

Come participate in an afternoon of (y)our “Role of Experience” research presentations, 14 May, 14–17! A special event to present (y)our “Experience”-related research to one another, and to get to know one another better.

  • “Bring an object”-style show & tell (‘object’ from your research practice: text, image, theme, sound, code, clip, snippet, fragrance, gesture, performance …).
  • Flash presentations, 5 or 10 mins max, out of the heart of your research.

By and for all at LUCAS interested in “Experience” as a research theme. It’ll be stimulating, and fun, to have a broad and diverse range of “Experience” interests, and people, present!
