May HR theme: Ergonomics and Health & Safety
From May onwards, the HR department will focus on a particular topic each month, and in May it is: Ergonomics and Health & Safety.
'Ergonomics is the science that focuses on matching tools and conditions to human characteristics that allow people to function optimally.' In other words: do you have a good chair? Is your desk adjusted properly? How high is your screen? Do you perhaps need additional tools to support you?
A pleasant and safe workplace is of great importance; you probably spend more time here than anywhere else. Yvonne Snelder is our occupational health and safety coordinator. She will be happy to help you with correct workplace adjustment. Are you in doubt about your workplace or anything related to it? She will visit the faculty on the following two days:
- Tuesday 9 May (morning)
- Monday 15 May (afternoon)
Yvonne will stop by your office to take a look at your worplace, give advice, and perhaps make some necessary adjustments for you.
