Allowances on the payslip

3 March 2026

With the transition from SAP to BAS InSite, the layout of the payslip has been updated. Allowances will now always be paid in arrears, based on the fully recorded data from the previous month.

As salaries are paid before the end of the month, any allowances relating to that month can only be processed in the following month. As a result, a correction relating to the previous month may appear on your payslip.

Explanation of the January and February payslips (example)

This includes, for example your home office allowance, internet allowance, and travel expenses for January. These allowances, which were registered in Shuttel for January, will be paid the following month. Two things will happen:

  • You will receive a Retroactive Correction (TWK Correction) on your previous month's payslip; this is the ‘replacement payslip’. This replacement payslip is the current month's and therefore the official payslip for that month.
  • The payslip for the current month will indicate that the correction from the previous month is being paid.

The difference between the original January payslip and the replacement January payslip can be found on your February payslip under ‘correction January’.

More information

If you want to determine the exact amount, we specifically refer you to your Shuttel administration. You will find detail information on your allowances. More information about the various items on a payslip  is available on the Helpdesk Portal
