NSE campaign week at the faculty

On Monday we welcomed our students to the faculty with hearts, chocolate, and asking them to take the National Student Survey (NSE). A combination of Valentine’s Day and the start of the NSE campaign week – encouraging students to take the online survey.

Student ambassadors Christian and Daphne

Students who could show they had taken the NSE received chocolate hearts made by Olala. By the afternoon, the result of this ‘heart-warming’ welcome was clear to see. Dozens of students lined up to collect their Valentine’s Day chocolates after showing they had taken the survey. We repeated our efforts on Thursday 17 February. This time without the Valentine’s theme, but still with the chocolates!

There’s good reason to organise this campaign. It’s almost become a tradition that the response from Leiden Law School students to taking the NSE is lower compared to the rest of the University. So time to change that.

You can help!

If you’d like to change this low response score, you can help – for example by showing this slide during your lectures. There’s still time as the NSE remains open until 13 March.

By taking the NSE, students not only help improve their study programme, they also help support first-generation students and researchers. For every completed questionnaire, the University will donate €0.25, via the Leiden University Fund, to LEF, the Leiden Empowerment Fund.

If you’d like to know more about the NSE in general, all background information is available on the student website.
