Job market exploration
Most PhDs find a new job outside the University after they graduate, for instance in the public or private sectors. An academic career is therefore not a given. This makes it important to start thinking in good time about what you want to do after you graduate.
We advise you to already start thinking about your further career in the third year of your PhD programme. We provide courses and guidance that will help you decide. In our careers guidance we look at your skills and ambitions. We then look together at your opportunities at the University and outside. It may be that you decide to follow one of our careers programmes or attend a workshop on apply for jobs, for instance.
